2019 presidency: Buhari again fails to submit school certificates as Atiku presents credential, declares income

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, President Muhammadu Buhari, has again failed to submit his credentials to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Buhari’s Secondary School certificate controversy made the headlines in 2015 when he entered the race for Nigeria’s number one seat, a position he won amid all odds.
The various candidates’ credentials were made available to reporters in Abuja on Thursday and President Buhari only submitted an affidavit where he claimed that his credentials were with the Secretary of the Military Board.
Buhari said in his affidavit, “I am the above-named person and the deponent of this affidavit herein. All my academic qualification documents as filled in my Presidential form, APC/001/2015 are currently with the Secretary of the Military Board as of the time of this affidavit.”
However, the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku submitted all relevant documents, with a Diploma in Law in 1969 from the Ahmadu Bello University being his highest qualification.
Atiku also represented his tax returns indicating that he had paid N10.8m in tax from 2015 to 2017.
He also declared his income within the period as N60.2m.
